Our 16,000 square foot facility is composed of two seperate gyms! One 8,000 square foot gym houses our Kinder Kids, Recreational Classes,Tumbling Classes, Cheerleading, and the Girls and Boys Developental Programs. This gym boasts an in ground tumble track, star-bars (used for beginning level skills), 2 single rails (for learning how to properly swing), Uneven Parallel Bars, 2 sets of Parellel Bars, a Pommel Horse, a Buck (for training pommel horse), a multitude of multiple height Balance Beams (low, medium, and high), a modified Vaulting Table, a "Trainer" Vaulting Table System, Low and High Ring Assemblies, a modified Spring Floor System that covers nearly half of the gym, loads of both training and safety mats, and access to an inground foam pit.
We also have additional equipment for our Kinder Kids, including parachutes, hoops, balls, climbing ropes,specialized bars, beams and mats, props galore, and of course, a two-story fun slide that exits into an above ground foam pit!
Our second 8,000 square foot gym houses our USAG Junior Olympic Competitive Teams. This gym contains one full size, 40x40, Spring Floor, a Spring Tumbling Strip with pit access, 3 sets of Uneven Parallel Bars (1 set over an in ground resi pit), 1 Strap Bar, 1 Single Rail with pit access, 6 regulation height Balance Beams, 3 low Beams, 1 regulation Vault Table with in ground resi pit landing surface, 1 "Trainer" Vaulting Table System with pit access, regulation landing mats as well as training mats, and strength training equipment that includes stationary bikes, jump ropes, stahl bars, free weights, medicine balls, exercise balls, and 2 climbing ropes.
At Oakland Gymnastics, we believe that safety comes first. All of our equipment meets or exceeds F.I.G. safety specs., and our staff are Safety Certified as well as accredited coaches by USA Gymnastics. Our master staff are also professional members of USA Gymnastics.
